Eu não tive uma vida muito divertida; diria até que passei por muita coisa chata e solitária. Meus pais não tiveram uma boa relação. Não que eu reclame do pai que tive, mas o vício da bebida - e por que não a tristeza guardada dentro de si - me influenciaram muito. Assim como minha mãe, que ficava calada ao discutir com ele e foi morar no Japão no começo da minha adolescência. Meus pais estavam longes de ser muito presentes; faltavam-lhes uma bagagem de como preparar um filho à vida. Não que eu seja ingrato: tenho orgulho dos dois, porém hoje em dia sei como eles moldaram a minha personalidade. Entendo que não era intencional.
O fato de não ter minha mãe presente por quase 15 anos abalou muito a minha auto-estima, da mesma forma com a morte do meu pai em 2004, quando estava na faculdade. Certamente o momento mais delicado da minha vida, pois além de exigir preparo emocional para encarar a realidade trágica, ao mesmo tempo precisava lidar com as burocracias que não fazia a mínima idéia que existiam até então que vieram à tona como consequência do falecimento dele; coisas que perduraram vários anos e que me sugavam a energia de maneira exaustante.
Para quem me conhece bem, sabe como eu me envolvo com a música. É como se eu soubesse qual a sensação, o sentimento que o artista quis transmitir através de sua composição. Me lembro que na época da faculdade, escutava muito PJ Harvey, Nick Cave e Fiona Apple - esta última inclusive tem seu primeiro álbum tão depressivo que em cada faixa ela transparece o sentimento de suicídio. Já me perguntei qual é o sentido de estar vivo, se realmente era para ter nascido, me sentia um maior abandonado.
Desde o ano retrasado, comecei a fazer terapia. É interessante que, apesar de tudo isso que passei, meu psicólogo disse que o impacto que tais acontecimentos tiveram em mim foram o mínimo que poderia ter me ocorrido. Ao contrário de quem não sabe, terapia não é recomendada somente para loucos ou é dinheiro jogado fora. A auto consciência pode ajudar em todos os setores da vida. E a partir daí, comecei a fazer coisas que nem tinha em mente. Participei de um coral da empresa (um desafio interessante para quem é tímido para se apresentar a muita gente), sou praticante de Tai Chi Chuan, que me ajuda a ter maior controle na ansiedade, fiz um curso de teatro que me tornou um sujeito mais a vontade comigo mesmo.
Hoje em dia, trabalho em um lugar que gosto bastante e sinto que sou valorizado pelo meu conhecimento e pelo meu desempenho. Adoro ajudar pessoas desempregadas e penso que tenho um networking que serve para proporcionar visibilidade a quem necessita. Aliás, minha filosofia de vida é ajudar alguém - se eu não ajudo, não vejo muito sentido de estar presente. Eu gosto de inspirar pessoas, incentivar, gosto de motivá-las a atigirem seus objetivos. Pratico esportes com uma frequência razoável: nadar é uma coisa que adoro e é um dos meus símbolos de superação, já comentado em um post anterior. Pensa que eu me imaginava correndo em maratona? Que um dia um grupo me reconheceria como o melhor jogador de futebol??? Definitivamente nunca!
Tudo isso não se deve apenas à prática, seja em qualquer atividade. Isso se deve a uma mudança de postura, de hábito, de atitude, de como encarar cada desafio. Sinto que sou mais feliz, que faço coisas que gosto com entusiasmo e determinação, que sempre procuro deixar a minha marca. Não quero nem me visualizar como seria se não tivesse começado a terapia. Percebo que sou capaz de realizar momentos fascinantes que nem passava na minha cabeça! E ainda quero mais!
Se tenho pontos a melhorar? Como qualquer pessoa! E com certeza estou em busca disso. Autoobservação é algo que muita gente não tem hábito. Com foco na solução e iniciativa, eu consigo o que quero. Talvez eu ainda não saiba qual é o propósito da vida e também tenho sonhos que ainda não realizei; entretanto, mais do que nunca sou feliz pelo que sou, sou muito grato ao meu psicólogo e que tenho muito a aproveitar da vida!!!

I have not had a very funny life; I would say I experienced a lonely and very boring life. My parents didn't have a good relationship. I mean, I don't complain about the dad I had, but his addiction to drink - and why not to mention his internal sorrow - influenced me so much. As well as my mom, who stayed speechless when she argued with him and she move to Japan in the beginning of my adolescence. My parents were far to being very presents; they lacked a baggage of how to prepare a child for life. I'm not being ungrateful: I'm proud of both; however, nowadays I know how they have molded my personality. I undestand this was not deliberate of them.
The fact I didn't have my mom by my side for almost 15 years shooked so much my self steem, beyond when my father passed in 2004, when I was at college. The most delicate moment of my life certainly, for it required me emotional preparation to face the tragic reality, and at same time I needed to deal with lots of bureaucracies I didn't have any idea until then that surfaced as consequence of his death; stuffs which persisted some years and absorbed me energy in a exhausting way.
For people who know me well, they know how I involved with music. Seems like I know what sensation and feeling artist wanted to transmit through his song. I've already asked to me what the meaning of being alive, if I really should have been born; I felt like an homeless man.
Since two years, I've started to have sessions of therapy. It's interesting that, although I've gone all of this, psychologist says the impact of these events were the least it could happen to me. Unlike than who doesn't know, therapy is not recommended only to mad people or it's waste of money. Self awareness may help you in all sectors of life. Thereafter, I've initiated to make things which they've never been in my mind to execute. I joined a choral society (a interesting challenge for who are shy to show yourself to a crowd), I'm Tai Chi Chuan's practitioner which helps me to have a better control of anxiety, I took a course in theatre, which made me a person more ease with myself.
Now, I work in a place I like so much and I feel I'm valuable for my knowledge and my performance. I love to help unemployed people and I think I have a good network that serves to provide visibility to who needs it. By the way, my own philosophy is to help somebody - if I don't help somebody, I not see the meaning to be there. I like to inspire people, to encourage them, to motivate to achieve their goals. I practice sports in a moderate frequency: I love to swim and this is one of my symbols of overcoming, as I commented in a previous post. Do you think I imagined myself running in a marathon? Do you think I believed one day a group would recognize me as the best football player??? Definitely never!
Everything that I reached it doesn't due only to practice, independent of any activity. This came as a result of a change of posture, habit, attitude, how to face each challenge. I feel I'm more happy now, that I can do lot of things that I like with enthusiasm and will, that I always look for make my mark. I don't even want to visualize how I would be if I didn't begin to have sessions of therapy. I noticed I'm able to have fascinating moments that even I couldn't imagine!
If I have something to improve? Like any person! And I'm sure I'm in search of this. Self-observation is something many people doesn't have habit. With this one, focus on solution and initiative, I manage to achieve what I want. Maybe I still don't know what is life's purpose and I have dreams I've not accomplished yet; nevertheless, more than ever I'm happy for what I am, I'm very grateful to my psychologist and I still have much to enjoy life!!!
